When it's over, she'll smile differently
Ana's story.
Ana is 6 and full of chatter. She loves drawing rainbows at school, singing too loudly in the playground, and making tiny houses out of cardboard boxes with her cousins after dinner. She is proud of being able to write her name neatly, although she still adds extra swirls to the A. At home she likes helping her mum stir the pot, choosing the biggest spoon like she is the boss of the kitchen. She is sweet, funny, and a bit stubborn, especially when her sore teeth make crunchy food hard, but she still tries to join in with everything. Severe early childhood tooth decay is more common than most people realise, and in young children it can reach the point where the only safe option is a full dental rehabilitation — multiple extractions and fillings completed in a single hospital session while the child is under general anaesthesia. It sounds like a big deal, and it is. But one morning in hospital means a child doesn’t spend years in pain, struggling to eat, or missing school because of infections. It’s also the kind of procedure that’s almost impossible for a low-income family to access without help.

Three commitments.
We pay the doctor, not the family. It protects donors, it protects families, and it means every peso is traceable from the moment you give it.
Cases reviewed by partner clinicians, not by us.
We post every outcome — including the ones that break your heart. You deserve to know what happened. And the families deserve that honesty too.
