Both options are available. A one-off donation goes directly toward the child you choose. Monthly giving is especially valuable because it lets us prioritise urgent cases as they arrive — children waiting for surgery or a school placement do not always have the luxury of time.
Every dollar you give goes to the child you choose. For treatment cases, funds go directly to the treating practitioner — never to the family in cash. For pathway cases, funds cover verified educational costs like tuition, uniforms, or learning resources, paid directly to the institution or supplier. Of every dollar donated, 91% goes directly to care — covering treatment, educational pathways, case verification, and the people who make it all happen. 6% keeps the platform running, and 3% goes toward telling the stories that bring the next donor in.
Yes. When you browse the Find a Child page, you can filter by Treatment (medical and surgical needs) or Pathways (education and empowerment). Every donation is applied to the specific child you select — we never redirect funds between campaigns.
Not yet. We are actively working toward tax-deductible status for donors in Australia and the United States. We will update this page as soon as that changes.
All donations are processed securely through Stripe, one of the world's most trusted payment platforms. Stripe uses bank-level encryption and is PCI DSS compliant. Your payment details are never stored by LittleCareFund — they go directly to Stripe's secure servers.
At the moment, families can only be referred by a partner medical practitioner, school, or community worker. We review every application and will reach out within a few days. Priority is given to the most urgent and most verifiable cases.
Through our Treatment program, we support medical and surgical needs that a family cannot afford — from corrective surgery to diagnostic procedures. Through our Pathways program, we support educational costs that stand between a child and their potential — school fees, uniforms, learning materials, or specialised support. We support children from birth to 18 years old.
No. There is no application fee, administration fee, or repayment obligation of any kind. Families are never asked to contribute to fundraising. Our role is to remove barriers — not to create new ones.
Children are referred by partner medical practitioners, local schools or community health workers. Every referral is reviewed before a campaign is created. We visit families in person whenever possible to confirm need, verify identity, and understand the full picture.
For Treatment cases, a partner medical practitioner reviews the diagnosis, confirms the treatment plan, and provides a cost breakdown. For Pathways cases, we verify enrolment status, confirm the educational costs with the institution, and review the family's financial situation. No campaign goes live without this verification step.
Most campaigns run for 30 to 90 days. The timeline is set based on how urgent the need is — a child waiting for surgery may have a shorter window than a child whose school year starts in several months. We always try to match the campaign length to the real deadline the child is facing.
If a campaign closes without reaching its goal, we look for alternative funding sources or partner organisations before returning funds to donors. In cases where we cannot proceed, donors are contacted and refunds are issued. We will never apply funds to a different child without explicit donor consent.
Yes — and that is exactly how LittleCareFund works. Every donation is tied to a specific child. You choose the child, you fund their need, and we follow up to confirm the outcome. You will hear what happened.
Treatment supports children in the Philippines who need medical or surgical care that their families cannot afford. Every case is verified by a partner medical practitioner before a campaign goes live. Funds are paid directly to the treating doctor or hospital — never to families in cash.
Pathways supports children whose greatest barrier is not illness but opportunity. These are bright, motivated children who cannot access education because of cost. We cover verified educational expenses — extra curricular fees, travel, additional learning materials, or assistive technology — paid directly to the institution or supplier.
Yes, in some cases. A child with a medical need and an educational barrier may receive support through both programs — but each campaign is separately verified and separately funded. Donors always know exactly what their money is for.
LittleCareFund is a registered not-for-profit organisation. We operate with full financial transparency — our cost breakdown is published on this site, and every campaign shows exactly what funds are needed and what they will be used for.
For Treatment cases, we follow up with the treating practitioner and, where possible, visit the child and family after treatment. For Pathways cases, we confirm enrolment and check in at the end of the academic term. We publish outcome stories on this site — including the cases where things did not go as planned.
Yes. We believe donors deserve the full picture. If a child's condition worsened, if treatment was unsuccessful, or if a Pathways placement did not work out, we document it honestly. Transparency is not just for good news.
Donations are applied to the specific campaign within 48 hours of receipt. We do not hold funds in a general pool. Surplus funds from an overfunded campaign are held in a dedicated reserve and applied to the next verified case — donors are notified if this occurs.
We'd love to hear from you.
