A New Season in the Valley: Ayna Takes Up the Manggahan Clinic
Ayna has been offered the job of running the little clinic in the village of Manggahan, which sits between BK and Menti. She’ll work under the local barangay midwife, a woman with a reputation for being formidable! It won’t be without its challenges, but we believe this is the start of something new and good for our valley.
This is a big step for the people here. Until now, much of the patient load has fallen on me and the ministry. With Ayna in Manggahan, families will have trained, local care closer to home, and we’ll have the breathing room to keep serving well.

🏥 Ready for Work
Ayna is now set up and ready to go! She has the freedom to deliver normal births and dispense basic medicines and simple antibiotics. That means safer deliveries for mothers and quicker treatment for common illnesses, right in the village.
We’re still waiting to see what equipment the local government will provide, and we expect it to be limited. For those of you who’ve asked how you can help, watch this space. We’ll share specific needs soon.

🦟 A Busy Season
Ayna’s clinic is already a busy place. Malaria cases are high right now, and anti-malarial medicines are in short supply. It’s hard to watch people suffer when treatment is so close yet out of reach.
The team is giving everything they’ve got. Today Paulo and Titin are doing blood smears to test for malaria, so the sick can be diagnosed quickly and cared for as soon as medicine arrives.
